The Emmaus Ministry consists of volunteers who visit the elderly and sick who are homebound or in Nursing Homes. This ministry provides our sick and elderly with spiritual as well as social support to keep them connected with the faith community. In addition to friendly visiting, Emmaus Ministers bring the Eucharist, and deliver flowers at holiday times, and offer support for caregivers and family members.
Martha & Lazarus Committee
This group extends hospitality to bereaved parish families by providing luncheons and receptions for small groups after funerals. These are hosted in the Slattery Center at the request of the families. Duties might include baking, set up and clean up of room, and hosting during the reception.

Nursing Home Ministry
Volunteers help to transport residents to Mass and provide assistance and care for the elderly throughout the Liturgy. Mass is celebrated on the second Tuesday of the month at the Friendly Home (11:00am), the third Thursday of the month at the Jewish Home (10:00am), and on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Highlands of Brighton (10:30am). Volunteers who are Ministers of Communion also bring the Holy Eucharist to Catholics in all three homes on Sunday after the 8:00 a.m. Mass.
Help is always greatly needed for both of these Ministries! Contact your parish office for more information.
