Thanksgiving Food Drive 2016… Thank you!

donated food bagsOn Sunday, November 13, we wrapped up our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive with our Junior High Faith Formation, Senior High Youth Group, Confirmation Candidates and their families sorting, delivering and shelving the food donated to St. Andrew’s Food Cupboard. Our volunteers worked from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm at St. Andrew’s helping organizing the donations. Thank you to all who participated.

The hundreds of food items donated at St. Thomas More and Our Lady Queen of Peace created one of the largest food donations that St. Andrew’s has ever received!

Do not be afraid to dream of great things!”
–Pope Francis

Youth Ministry at Our Lady Queen of Peace & St. Thomas More aims to:

  • To provide an environment that enables and encourages the whole parish community to respond to the needs of young people.
  • To welcome the unique gifts, faith, energy and fresh ideas of youth and to encourage the sharing of these gifts with the larger community.
  • To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
  • To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of our Catholic faith community.
  • To empower young people to live as disciples of Christ in our world today.
