When we needed to find a new agency to receive the groceries from our monthly food collection, the suggestion was made at the Outreach Meeting to find an agency which supports some of the poorest neighborhoods in our community. So, starting this month, the food collection will be sent to the Sr. Regis Food Bank which is a ministry of the Cabrini Parish. The food bank is located on Bay Street. Sr. Julia Norton RSM, the director, was very grateful to hear of this recurring donation. Volunteers will be needed to collect the groceries and deliver them to the Bay Street location on Monday mornings. (The food collection is held on the last weekend of the month at both parishes). Food Bank volunteers will be in the parking lot to pick up the groceries from the cars and carry them into the building – you don’t even have to get out of your car. If you’re interested in joining the list of delivery volunteers, please email or call Gail at [email protected] or 309-6950. Thank you for helping to feed the hungry through your continued support of this food collection.
